Preventive dental examination

The priority of care for our patients is dental prevention. We will be glad to see you at our clinic for preventive examinations every half year. The  basic and the most effective form of  care for your  teeth is preventative dental examinations and well-performed home and professional oral hygiene. This reduces the risk of problems in the oral cavity -  tooth decay, gum inflammation - paradentosis, tartar, plaque, pigment stains and ensures long-term dental health.

Painless dental treatment

We use a whole range of modern methods and anesthetics. Thanks to this, the painlessness of all dental procedures is ensured. There is no reason why the patient should be afraid of pain.

Local anesthetics

Local anesthesia is used for any case that could be painful. Before applying an anesthetic, it is possible to treat anesthesia instead of the injection. Local anesthetics are then injected with the active ingredient. This gives maximum comfort and painlessness.

Sedation

We use highly effective and safe drugs with a sedative effect for very sensitive patients. It relieves you of fear and anxiety from the treatment, suppresses pain. It alleviates unpleasant feelings while applying local anesthesia. Application options - inhaled, orally, muscularly, onset and withdrawal of action is very rapid. They are also ideal for pediatric patients.

We work also with Entonox gas and Dormicum.

Teeth whitening

Dental clinic Vyhlidka uses a gentle and very effective whitening methods. For a perfect result, we combine two methods - in-office professional teeth whitening  and  „take-home“ teeth whitening (braces+teeth whitening gel+instructions). A beautiful  smile is a success card for most of us. With our smile we make advertising ourselves, reflecting our living comfort and satisfaction. Smile inherently includes beautiful and white teeth. However, not everyone is satisfied with the natural color of their teeth. Then we can recommend  in most cases tooth whitening.

In-Office Professional Teeth Whitening by Philips Zoom

The basis is the dental examination and dentist consultation. Before the whitening is also necessary to visit the dental hygiene - to remove tartar and plaque. The procedure begins with a short preparation to cover the lips and gums, leaving the teeth exposed. First by applying on the lips a special oil, which contents  vitamin E, then the dentist uses a  splitter  (special aid to relieve the tongue and teeth). Tampons are placed in the mouth to isolate the mints and gums. It determines the color of the teeth, which is then shot. The patient will receive safety glasses. The dentist or dental assistant then applies the Zoom hydrogen peroxide whitening gel, which works together with the Zoom light to penetrate the teeth and break up the stains and discoloration. The gel remains in place for 15 minutes while the light is activated. The gel is applied for three 15-minute sessions of light activation, for a total treatment time of 45 minutes.Immediately afterwards, a sensitivity-reducing fluoride paste-gel is applied to the teeth. You will get precise instructions and you will have to follow the so-called white diet for 24 hours after the in-office teeth whitening.

Take-Home Professional Teeth Whitening

The basis is the dental examination and dentist consultation. Before the whitening  is also necessary to visit the dental hygiene - to remove tartar and plaque. We will take impressions of your teeth in order to create your custom whitening trays. They will fit your teeth perfectly and feel comfortable and easy to wear. We will provide enough whitening gel for you to achieve successful results.Your custom whitening trays will keep the whitening gel on the surface of your teeth where it belongs and help prevent leaking, which can cause sensitivity. After several weeks of regular use, your teeth will look visibly brighter.

Dental caries treatment

The main purpose of the dentistry is to save the tooth, which is affected, for example, by dental caries or trauma. Such defects can be solved by fillings. With the modern materials and procedures that we use at our clinic, we can make "white fillings" on any teeth. Nowadays it is possible to finish  aesthetically  the tooth that was so destroyed, that in another case a few years ago was rubbed onto the crown. Also  the teeth which are after the  endodontic treatment could  be finished under suitable conditions by composite material.

Composite fillings -  tooth-colored fillings.

Composite fillings are the best solution for treating small tooth defects caused by caries or tooth injuries. Thanks to the wide range of shades and work with dental lupes and kofferdam, composite fillings are matched with natural color ofthe tooth and can not be seen at all. Composite fillings provide good durability and resistance to fracture in small- to mid-size fillings that need to withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing. They can be used on either front or back teeth. They are a good choice for people who prefer that their fillings look more natural

  • Composite „white“ fillings
  • Glassionomer fillings
  • Aesthtic teeth restoration/bonding

The technological process is time-consuming and is not covered by the health insurance company. We use unique methods and modern materials that allow us to make the filling a long-term functional and aesthetic.

Endodontics

The root canals treatment.

A 'root canal' is the term that refers to the natural cavity or space within the center of the tooth. It is made up of the pulp chamber which provides nutrients and nerves to each tooth and the 'canals' that connect to each other or to the surface of the root of the tooth. A cavity in the tooth leaves an opening where bacteria can enter and multiply. Left without treatment, these bacteria cause infections and form pockets or abscesses filled with pus up at the roots of the tooth. This causes severe pain and swelling that could spread to other areas of the face or head. Serious infections bring about bone loss around the tip of the tooth roots.

A root canal is a procedure done to treat and save a tooth that is damaged, infected or badly decayed. The treatment involves removal of the nerves and pulp and cleaning and sealing the infected area inside the tooth.

Teeth can become damaged and infected due to severe decay, repeated dental procedures, cracks in the tooth or trauma to the face. Constant pain, swelling and tenderness of the gums, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold and discoloration of the tooth are signs that one may need a root canal. A visit to the dentist will best determine the ways to deal with each particular case.

In some cases, we also recommend the endodontic treatment before making a crown or bridge.

Dentists of dental clinic Vyhlidka  use by  endodontic treatment dental lupes,, dental microscope and a modern system for the treatment and filling of root canals.

Crowns and bridges

Fixed  dental replacements (crowns and bridges) are placed on dental implants or on salvaged and abraded teeth, so-called dental stumps. They have the task to replace one or more missing teeth. Fixed prosthetic then works as your own tooth and provides aesthetics and functionality. The method of dental treatment is always based on the current state of the oral cavity. From our experience, however, we can say that the making of fixed prostheses usually requires different types of dental procedures, so treatment is usually not only long but costly.

For the production of fixed prostheses  at our clinic we use various materials and always adapt them to the specific situation and requirements of the patient for functionality, aesthetic and financial possibilities. Today's modern materials  imitate very well dental enamel, and fixed prosthetics make it almost perfect replacement of the patient's own teeth in functional and aesthetic terms. Strong dental replacements could endure for more than 10 years in case of good  care. A dental plaque or food debris can accumulate around the neck crowns and beneath the bridge, and therefore excellent interdental hygiene is essential. In our dental offices  we will explain how correctly to take care of your fixed prosthesis.

Removable dentures

Removable dentures represent temporary or definitive treatment of the patient. They are supposed to replace missing teeth and allow rehabilitation of the patient in functional, aesthetic and psychological terms. They represent replacements for missing teeth if the teeth can not be replaced by fixed bridges or dental implants. Removable dental replacements are usually a cheaper solution, so they are also approached for financial reasons. A typical situation where the missing teeth can not be replaced by a fixed bridge is the loss of the back teeth. This creates a gap that is not bordered on both sides by firm teeth.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures can replace a number of missing teeth. Usually they are made of metal or lightweight, gum-colored resin, and artificial teeth. Your natural teeth will provide an anchor for your partial dentures and hold them in place.Since your partial denture will be part of your existing smile, we will closely match your denture teeth to your remaining natural teeth, so your smile looks seamless.Your partial denture relies on the health of your remaining teeth, so good oral hygiene is important, as with all dentistry.Since your body changes over time, you may find that your partial denture needs a periodic adjustment to keep it fitting properly.

Complete Dentures

If you are missing all of your teeth on your upper or lower arch, you probably need complete dentures. Complete dentures should fit well in order to function properly. To start, we will take dental impressions so after that  dentists can begin the design process. Once dentist designs your dentures, our trusted dental lab will create them. The dentist  will perform a fitting to make sure they feel comfortable and follow up with a re-check to make sure that they continue to function well and feel great. Once you have your complete dentures, it is still important to maintain regular dental exams so that we can check your dentures for damage and perform life-saving oral cancer screenings.

Implantology

Implantology is a modern discipline which offers an elegant, gentle and quality solution for losing one or more teeth. Dental implants represent an artificial replacement of the dental roots that have been destroyed. It is a small screw that heplping a small surgical procedure is inserted into the jaw instead of the missing tooth.

Dental implants have long been recognized by dental experts as the most effective dental procedure of choice for teeth replacement. Dental implants are substitutes for the roots of missing teeth and are designed to last a lifetime. Because they are fused in the jawbone and are not visible once surgically placed, dental implants are the closest you can get to healthy, natural teeth.

The implants will look and work long-term as your right teeth - often even better. It will solve the situation where one tooth or more teeth are missing, or you have no teeth.

To ensure that your dental implants are fully accomplished and applied correctly and professionally, make an appointment for consultation and our team of specialists will be fully available to you. Our dentists will recommend a suitable form of the replacement  of damaged teeth, and in  case of your interest they will also perform a perfect dental surgical procedure. For the perfect result our dentist use the modern technology and quality materials.

We use top dental implants from leading world brands Alfa Bio and Nobel Biocare.

We use 3D X-ray and special Gallileos implant system for precise implants planning.

Dentoalveolar surgery

  • Tooth extraction
  • Resuscitation of the root tip
  • Sinus lift
  • Augmentation / bone grafting

Dentoalveolar surgery is the very important aspect of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery that concentrates on routine issues such as extractions, bone contouring, surgical root canals and minor soft tissue repairs. It actually represents nearly 50% of all minor surgeries completed in our dental clinic Vyhlidka. Anyone who has ever experienced a toothache will appreciate the importance of every day dentoalveolar surgery.

Teeth may need to be removed for a number of reasons. This could include orthodontic considerations or as a result of extensive decay, disease, or trauma resulting in painful, abscessed, or loose teeth. In most non-emergency situations involving the need for dental extractions, we will evaluate and treat you at the same visit. This treatment can be performed under local anesthesia (numbing medicine), conscious sedation or general anesthesia. On many occasions a special Panoramic X-ray will be needed to identify vital structures in the area of the surgery.

BONE CRAFTING

Over a period of time, the jawbone associated with missing teeth atrophies or is reabsorbed. This often leaves a condition in which there is poor quality and quantity of bone suitable for placement of dental implants. In these situations, most patients are not candidates for placement of dental implants.Today, we have the ability to grow bone where needed. This not only gives us the opportunity to place implants of proper length and width, it also gives us a chance to restore functionality and aesthetic appearance.Bone grafting can repair implant sites with inadequate bone structure due to previous extractions, gum disease or injuries. The bone is either obtained from a tissue bank or your own bone is taken from the jaw, hip or tibia (below the knee). Often a block of bone may be taken from a donor site in the jaw and "transferred" to a recipient site to augment a jaw area prior to placing a dental implant. A new technique involves utilizing recombinant BMP (Bone morphogenic protein) to grow bone in a deficient site.

SINUS LIFT PROCEDURE

The maxillary sinuses are behind your cheeks and on top of the upper teeth. Sinuses are like empty rooms that have nothing in them. Some of the roots of the natural upper teeth extend up into the maxillary sinuses. When these upper teeth are removed, there is often just a thin wall of bone separating the maxillary sinus and the mouth. Dental implants need bone to hold them in place. When the sinus wall is very thin, it is impossible to place dental implants in this bone.

There is a solution and it’s called a sinus graft or sinus lift graft. The dental implant surgeon enters the sinus from where the upper teeth used to be. The sinus membrane is then lifted upward and donor bone is inserted into the floor of the sinus. Keep in mind that the floor of the sinus is the roof of the upper jaw. After several months of healing, the bone becomes part of the patient’s jaw and dental implants can be inserted and stabilized in this new sinus bone.

Cerec

Our basic aid is dental system CEREC CAD/CAM OMNICAM

CEREC® is a new generation robotic system enabling the field of dental prosthetics to reach a whole new level. It is a 3D modeling system which scans the patient’s oral cavity down to the tiniest details and then designs the optimal shape of the dental filling or crown for such case.

Afterwards, it also manufactures the recommended prosthesis in high-quality ceramics in a span of tens of minutes. In modern dentistry, it is therefore obsolete nowadays what was still bothering us in recent past, like waiting for the laboratory technician, several visits to the dentist’s office and temporary dental prosthesis.

The patient only visits the dentist once now and they leave with a fully functional prosthesis, no stress, no waiting.

CEREC treatment step by step

  • Using  the CEREC Omnicam, our small powder-free color camera, for precise 3D images in natural color. New: Use the Open Scan Export to easily export your scanned cases as STL files.
  • After analyzing the complete scan, the CEREC software generates outstanding restoration proposals. This takes you to the production stage faster. You benefit from the simple and visually appealing user interface.
  • The CEREC grinding and milling unit and CEREC software are optimally matched. Milling/grinding the (solid zirconia) restoration design is extremely precise, giving the restorations smooth surfaces and edges and very fine fissures.
  • Full-contour zirconia restorations are sintered and glazed chairside in the compact CEREC SpeedFire. The induction technology allows unparalleled short sintering and firing times.

After all the  CEREC® ceramic crown is placed. The CEREC crown has properties almost identical to natural tooth tissue, so they are very durable and their extremely high lifetime guarantees the perfect look of your teeth for years.

We use Vita PC blocks, IPS Empress  ceramics, IPS E.max lithium disilicate, Celtra duo - zirconium silicate and VOCO Grandiosso, Telio Cad - composite.

Why CEREC is better than dental laboatory?

Everything is carried out in a single visit - you only need to visit the dentist once - take one day away from your work or life to have the procedure - instead of the usual two or three visits. Only one set of local anaesthetic injections - since the entire procedure can be carried out within the hour, you only need to have one lot of injections. No temporary restorations - if you have lab-made veneers, you would require temporary veneers during the wait for your new teeth. These have been known to fall off and cause problems, which is a step that is omitted with CEREC restorations.

Guarantees of the CEREC technology: Quality, strength, accuracy, plaque resistant surface, no shrinkage during processing, perfect contacts with adjacent teeth, color stability.

Dental hygiene

The dental hygienist is an important member of a  dental team. The main goal of her work is to teach the patients how to provide the dental  care  at home. Proper oral hygiene prevents the development of dental caries and gum disease - periodontal disease. It is recommended to visit the dental hygienist  every six months.  At our clinic we provide the dental hygiene according to the GBT protocol "Guided Biofilm Therapy" with the help of innovative device  Air-Flow Prophylaxis Master by Swiss company EMS.

Dental hygiene includes:

  • Disclosure of the biofilm with the help of plaque detector
  • Air Flow – removing of the biofilm, calculus and pigmentation.
  • Gentle and thoroughly cleaning /removing of calculus  by ultrasonic, scaler  and  manual curettes.
  • Teeth polishing
  • Teaching about the proper care of your teeth
  • You may also to buy dental aids on reception.
